Mission

The mission of Lubbock Public Media is to enrich the cultural fabric of Lubbock by providing exceptional classical music programming that inspires, educates, and entertains. We are committed to supporting and promoting the vibrant arts community in our city by showcasing local talent, fostering a love for the arts, and serving as a hub for cultural engagement. Through our broadcasts, we aim to create a lasting impact on the lives of our listeners and contribute to the cultural legacy of Lubbock, Texas.

Brad Moran, President and CEO
47 years’ experience owning and operating 10 TV stations and 9 radio stations in Lubbock and Albuquerque. Community experience includes Campaign Chairman Lubbock Area United Way Campaign, Co-chair Lubbock Arts Festival, Chairman All Saints Episcopal School, BOD and President Greater Lubbock Rotary Club. Graduate, Rawls College of Business, Texas Tech University


Clint Barrick, Station Manager

Station Manager Clint Barrick brings his 35 years of experience, wealth of knowledge, and community connections to the airwaves on Classical 105.7. Clint’s passion is providing art and cultural programming to the community through thoughtful and impactful local programming. Clint also brings a deep music expertise to KLZK with more than 25 years as pianist with the Texas Tech University Choir, and as a collaborative musician and director for numerous local organizations.


Beverly McBeath, Development Officer
Development Officer Beverly McBeath brings over 40 years of advertising and marketing experience to KLZK. She served as an account executive and later General Sales Manager for television station KCBD for over 26 years. Beverly has been a long-time community volunteer. She has co-chaired local events including the Lubbock Arts Festival, UMC’s New Year’s Eve Gala, the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and co-chaired with her husband the 2004 Cattle Baron’s Ball. She currently serves on the Civic Lubbock Inc. Board of Directors and its sub-committees Entertainment Lubbock and the Museum and Arts committee.

Lubbock native and graduate of Texas Tech University, former political director for Congressman Randy Neugebauer, co-director of Institutional Advancement at All Saints Episcopal School, served two terms as President of the City of Lubbock Appointments Advisory Board, Trustee of the Museum of Texas Tech University, Board Member of the Texas Tech Friends of Music, TTU Chancellor’s Council, founding Board Member of LEPAA/Buddy Holly Hall of Performing Arts and Sciences, Chair of Proposition 5 campaign passing the Texas University Fund, Board Member and past President of the TSHMF, Chair of TTUPAC. Community Volunteer

Dennis Harp  – Director
Forty years electronic media instructional/administrative experience at four Texas institutions of higher education;  GM- public TV station;  leadership council member- Association of Public TV Stations;  president- Texas Educational TV Association;  associate director- International TV Association;  four year appointment- Texas Commission on the Arts Public Media Panel; Advisory Board- National Cowboy Symposium & Celebration;  received 2012 Educator of the Year Award, Texas Association of Broadcasters;  Board of Directors- The Lubbock Chorale

Mary Saathoff  – Director
Fine Arts and business professional with numerous interests, Ph.D. in Vocal Pedagogy from Texas Tech University, served on numerous boards including PTA, The Lubbock Chorale, and active in St. John’s United Methodist Church, worked in Institutional Advancement at TTU as a fundraiser for Scholarships and Corporations and Foundations Director, former co-owner of George Robinson Violins, served as the President and CEO of the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra for over 10 years, President of the Group 5/6 Orchestras in the League of American Orchestras and served on the national board for 2 years, passionate advocate for classical music.

Sherril Skibell  – Director
Graduate of University of Texas Austin .  School Teacher in San Antonio, Los Angeles, and Lubbock .  Junior League of Lubbock Board -Education Chairman .  All Saints Episcopal Board – Two Terms .  Methodist Hospital Board of Directors .  Active Work at Skibell’s Ladies Speciality Store .  Lubbock Symphony Orchestra Board Member .  Texas Tech University Health Science Center Foundation Chairman of the Board .  TTU Chairman of the Board of Continuing Education .  Lubbock Public Library Board .  Congregation Shaareth Israel Board .  Development Director of Texas Tech Public Radio for 19 Years
